The Belt and Road Economic Information Partnership (BREIP) inaugurated its Eastern European liaison office at the Thematic Forum on China-Hungary Belt and Road Pragmatic Cooperation held on May 2 in Budapest, Hungary.
Settled in Hungary’s ATV Media Group, the liaison office will act as a bridge to foster information connectivityby means of localized economic information collection, theme events and business matchmaking, and drivein-depth communication and pragmatic cooperation between China and Europe in trade and logistics, information technology, green development and other areas.
Hungary is the first European country to sign a Belt and Road cooperation document with China. The two sides have achieved remarkable results in Belt and Road cooperation in recent years, with cooperation in areas such as economy, finance and culture increasingly close.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary. It is of special significance for the BREIP to inaugurate an Eastern European liaison office in Hungary this year.
