Carlo D’Andrea, Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and Chairman of the Board of its Shanghai Chapter, stated that China, with its capacity for stable growth, is a “golden market for companies seeking the highest returns on innovation.” Speaking at the 2025 5th Innovation Fair China-Europe Business Development Conference in Nanjing, which brought together more than 150 representatives from 14 European countries, D’Andrea emphasized that China is a “dynamic, high-value innovation hub.”
At the event, Chinese and European participants explored cooperation opportunities in areas such as cross-border trade, smart manufacturing, software, and artificial intelligence. D’Andrea highlighted that China’s fast-paced and vibrant market, integration into global strategies, and abundant opportunities for collaboration offer unique advantages for European companies. He stressed that many firms are not only staying in China but also expanding, transforming the country’s strength into a global competitive advantage.
