The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit concluded on Sunday in Nanning, capital of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with over 500 economic and trade agreements signed during the event.
Wei Zhaohui, secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, announced at a press conference that 155 investment projects were signed this year, 74 of which focused on processing and manufacturing, accounting for 88 percent of total investment.
The five-day event covered an exhibition area of 160,000 square meters and brought together 3,260 enterprises from 60 countries, including 627 from ASEAN member states. For the first time, the expo featured a dedicated pavilion for artificial intelligence (AI), showcasing around 1,200 products, including about 20 large language models and 60 intelligent robots.
The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo is scheduled to take place from September 17 to 21, 2026, with the Philippines as the Country of Honor.
