On December 2, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the fourth Belt and Road Initiative Work Meeting held in Beijing, where he presented a comprehensive plan for the initiative’s current status and its future high-quality development.
The following day, he met with Cambodian People’s Party Chairman Hun Sen at the State Guesthouse in Beijing, followed by a meeting with Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who was on an official visit to China. In both discussions, the Belt and Road Initiative was a key topic.
Hun Sen described China as Cambodia’s most trusted friend and expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation with China in various fields. Oli reiterated Nepal’s commitment to active participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and welcomed more Chinese investments in his country.
Currently, China has signed cooperation agreements under the Belt and Road Initiative with more than 150 countries and over 30 international organizations, establishing the largest international economic cooperation platform globally. Transitioning from a vision to reality and from a broad concept to detailed implementation, the initiative is being steadily advanced through Xi Jinping’s unwavering efforts to promote high-quality development and ensure its stable and sustainable progress.
