Cultural Experience During Chinese New Year
This year, the Hubei Department of Culture and Tourism organized a cultural event titled “Joyful Spring Festival: Tourists from Five Continents Celebrate New Year in Hubei”. As part of the program, foreign tourists and local residents in Hubei joined traditional Chinese New Year festivities together. Visitors also explored famous historical sites in the region and took part in various customs, including writing New Year wishes (Chunlian), setting off fireworks, watching dragon and lion dances, hanging red lanterns, exchanging New Year greetings, and sharing a festive family meal.
Special Travel Arrangements for Tourists
To enhance the travel experience, Yichang East Railway Station designed a special transportation plan. Authorities coordinated train schedules, ticketing, and group transfers, ensuring a smooth and efficient boarding process. Dedicated entry lanes were established within the station, and staff members were assigned to assist tourists throughout their journey.
This event continues to promote Hubei’s cultural heritage and share the festive spirit of Chinese New Year on a global scale.
