As China entered the Year of the Horse according to the traditional lunar calendar, world leaders extended their Spring Festival greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people.
Leaders from various countries conveyed congratulatory messages marking the Spring Festival on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan recalled in his message that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. He expressed confidence that under the outstanding leadership of President Xi Jinping, the two countries would open a new chapter of closer cooperation in the years ahead.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, in his message, wished China continued prosperity and development in the new year, and extended his hopes for peace and well-being to the Chinese people. He emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to work with China to strengthen mutual support, enhance international coordination, and further deepen bilateral relations.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also conveyed his Spring Festival greetings to the Chinese people in a post on social media, expressing hope that the Year of the Horse would inject renewed momentum into Germany–China relations.
