Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a trilateral meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot during the Munich Security Conference.
Wang Yi noted that the current international order is undergoing a period of profound and complex change, with unilateralism and power politics on the rise and challenges to global governance.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang emphasized that the three countries, as responsible major powers and among the world’s leading economies, bear important responsibilities for world peace and development.
Underlining that China and Europe are partners, not rivals, and that mutual dependence is an opportunity, not a risk, Wang Yi stated that China is an opportunity for Europe and that Europe will benefit from China’s development.
