Chinese President Xi Jinping Calls on Young Sinologists to Promote Mutual Understanding Between China and Other Civilizations
Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on young sinologists to serve as ambassadors for fostering mutual understanding between China and foreign civilizations.
Xi responded to a letter from 61 young sinologists from 51 countries who will participate in the 2025 World Chinese Conference, scheduled to be held in Beijing from November 14 to 16.
Xi welcomed the young scholars’ enthusiasm not only for Chinese language and culture, but also for advancing the field of sinology and promoting intercultural learning.
Emphasizing that sinology represents a shared heritage of humanity, Xi encouraged the young sinologists to continue introducing China’s authentic, multidimensional, and holistic image to the world and to contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
