In the first seven months of 2025, China’s Fujian Province recorded a total foreign trade value of 568.66 billion yuan with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, according to Xiamen Customs. Exports reached 309.73 billion yuan, while imports totaled 258.93 billion yuan during the period. Data shows that private enterprises have played a leading role in driving the province’s trade with these countries.
Fujian’s main trading partners included Indonesia (66.92 billion yuan), Vietnam (41.71 billion yuan), and Brazil (32.73 billion yuan). Notable growth was seen in trade with Guinea, Peru, and Cambodia, with year-on-year increases of 96.8%, 25.3%, and 20.8% respectively. Mechanical and electrical products ranked as the top export category at 126.68 billion yuan, while automobile and ship exports rose by 62.9% and 17.8% respectively. In July alone, Fujian’s trade with Belt and Road countries reached 85.9 billion yuan, up 11.1% year-on-year, showing clear signs of recovery.
