Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with the leadership of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations in Beijing, emphasizing the importance of bilateral economic cooperation.
BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) — Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng held a meeting in Beijing with Evan Greenberg, Vice Chair of the Board of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and Stephen Orlins, President of the Committee.
He, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, noted during Wednesday’s talks that China and the United States possess a broad scope for economic and trade cooperation. He underscored that the two countries should work in the same direction, faithfully uphold and implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during their meeting in Busan, strengthen cooperation, and manage differences in order to promote the steady development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
He expressed the hope that the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations will continue to make new contributions to fostering friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Greenberg and Orlins stated that maintaining the stability of China-U.S. relations is of critical importance and expressed their willingness to continue serving as a bridge to deepen interaction and cooperation between the two sides.
