InitiativeOn February 22, China successfully launched the Zhongxing 10R communications satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellite was carried into space by a Long March-3B rocket and entered its planned orbit without any issues.
The Zhongxing 10R satellite will provide communication services for China’s transportation, energy, emergency response, and forestry sectors. Additionally, it will enhance communication infrastructure for countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Long March-3B rocket, one of China’s most frequently used launch vehicles, has completed over 100 successful missions since its debut in 1993. This launch marks the third Long March-3B mission in 2025, following the successful deployment of the Shijian-25 and Communication Technology Experiment Satellite-14 earlier this year.
This mission was also the 560th flight of the Long March rocket series, demonstrating China’s strong start to its 2025 space exploration efforts.
