According to Hubei Daily, the Belt and Road Countries Pavilion, located in the Central China Trade Service Zone of Wuhan’s Yangtze New Area, officially opened during the May Day holiday. The pavilion features specialty goods from 52 countries and regions along the Belt and Road, spanning food, handicrafts, clothing, and more. With immersive cultural scenes and interactive experiences, visitors enjoy a blend of shopping and cultural exploration. Thanks to direct sourcing and combined river-sea transportation, the products are not only more authentic but also up to 30% cheaper than in many import supermarkets.
Located at Yangluo Port, the pavilion serves as a gateway for Wuhan’s international economic and cultural cooperation. Covering nearly 20,000 square meters, the site includes four themed exhibition halls: the Silk Road Charm Pavilion, the ASEAN Pearl Pavilion, the Latin American Style Pavilion, and the Essence of Nine Provinces Pavilion. The area’s first large-scale cold-chain storage system further supports its role as a logistics hub for imported foods in central China. Recently, the Tunisia National Pavilion opened and was officially recognized by the Tunisian Embassy in China as the “China (Wuhan)–Tunisia Economic and Trade Cooperation Center,” adding new vitality to foreign trade and international engagement in the Yangtze New Area.
