China strengthens vocational education cooperation with ASEAN for regional development. A special training program held at Liuzhou Polytechnic University in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region saw the participation of 20 students from Indonesia. The program aims to equip students with both technical knowledge and industry experience through classroom training and internships in engineering machinery. Many Indonesian students believe the program will significantly contribute to their career development.
Cooperation between China and ASEAN is rapidly growing to meet regional development and industrial needs. Guangxi has established 17 vocational colleges catering to ASEAN countries, offering training in sectors such as agriculture, transportation, and energy. These institutions are developing a skilled local workforce aligned with the specific needs of various industries. Global companies like LiuGong benefit from such collaborations, gaining access to the skilled labor required for their global operations. As demand for vocational education rises in ASEAN countries, Guangxi is also developing multilingual training materials for countries like Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia. These resources, available in languages such as Thai and Indonesian, are helping to advance the region’s workforce development.
