The China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held for the seventh time in Shanghai from November 5-10. This year, the expo will host 152 countries and 297 major global companies. In previous expos, over 2,500 new products were introduced, with deals totaling more than 420 billion USD. As part of China’s opening-up strategy, CIIE offers cooperation and investment opportunities to other countries.
China is taking steps to support foreign trade through its free trade zones and the Hainan Free Trade Port, while also lifting foreign ownership restrictions in certain sectors. In specific cities, foreign ownership is now permitted in areas like hospital establishment and data center operations. These initiatives reflect China’s goals of attracting foreign investment and further integrating into the global economy.
