China’s trade with Brazil increased by 9.9% in the first 10 months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, highlighting the deepening economic and trade ties between the two countries. This growth rate was 4.7 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of China’s foreign trade.
According to data released by the General Administration of Customs, China’s trade with Brazil reached 1.14 trillion yuan ($158.33 billion) during the January-October period. Of this, 432.08 billion yuan came from exports, while 708.15 billion yuan came from imports, both registering steady growth.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of China-Brazil diplomatic relations. Over the past half-century, the two nations have achieved fruitful results in economic and trade cooperation and made significant progress in their bilateral economic and trade ties. China has been Brazil’s largest trading partner and export destination for 15 consecutive years, while Brazil has long been China’s largest trading partner in Latin America.
