More and more people are again visiting China thanks to changes in visa policies. Data from China’s Immigration Administration shows that in the first quarter of this year, 466,000 foreigner visas were issued, and nearly 2 million foreign nationals entered China without visas.

Among the new initiatives targeting inbound travellers are relaxed conditions for overseas visitors applying for port visa, border inspection exemptions for travellers in 24-hour direct transit, and easier processes for visa extensions and renewals.
