Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the Munich Security Conference.
Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump have given strategic direction to the development of China-US relations.
Wang said that the two sides should jointly implement the important consensus reached between their heads of state, adding that 2026 should be a year in which China and the US move forward in mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.
