According to information obtained from the recently held National Sports Administration Presidents’ Meeting, the ratio of Chinese citizens meeting national physical fitness standards in 2025 was determined to be 84.9 percent, an increase of 0.8 percent compared to 2020.
Meanwhile, the proportion of the total population participating in regular physical activities was determined to be 38.52%.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the annual growth rate of the sports industry in China was recorded at 10.3%. In this context, the total size of the ice and snow sports industry reached 980 billion yuan in 2024.
