A Chinese fine brush painting exhibition featuring around 50 flower and bird-themed artworks by Chinese artist Su Xiaofeng opened on Sunday at the Bahrain Arts Centre in the capital, Manama. Organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, the exhibition is open to the public free of charge until August 17. Visitors can also explore an interactive area dedicated to “China Oud,” a traditional aromatic resin unique to China.
Speaking at the opening, Su Xiaofeng expressed hope that the exhibition would help strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Bahrain through culture and art. Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Ni Ruchi said the exhibition provides a window for the Bahraini people to appreciate traditional Chinese art. Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, Fatima Al Sairafi, described the event as “a very special opportunity to celebrate the art of both countries” and hoped such events would further enhance cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.
