On December 31, the Chinese-made C909 passenger plane took off from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and successfully landed at Brunei International Airport after a flight of approximately three hours.
This marked the first flight of a Chinese domestically produced passenger aircraft to Brunei and symbolizes the launch of a direct flight route between Guangzhou and Brunei. The ceremony in Brunei celebrated this achievement, which is seen as an important step in strengthening the connections between China and Brunei within the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
