Nanjing Lukou International Airport launched its third all-cargo flight to Europe on June 26, as a B777F aircraft operated by China Postal Airlines, carrying 59.2 tonnes of cargo, departed for Luxembourg.
The new flight is scheduled to operate twice a week, marking the second intercontinental all-cargo flight from the airport this year. The airport also operates all-cargo flights to Amsterdam and Budapest.
Chen Xin, deputy general manager of the Aviation Logistics Co Ltd of Eastern Airports Group, said efforts have been made to ensure logistics speed, including efficient customs clearance, in order to build up the airport’s role as a key hub for cross-border e-commerce.
“We’re planning to enhance services for wide-body all-cargo aircraft and improve the comprehensive capacity of our aviation logistics. Our mature customs clearance and operations capability will effectively address concerns of the customers.” Chen added.
