In January of this year, China witnessed a notable surge in the number of trips made by rail-sea intermodal trains via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. According to the announcement from Beibu Gulf Port Group, these trains completed 978 trips, marking an impressive 87.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, inaugurated in 2017, serves as a pivotal trade and logistics conduit established by the provincial-level regions in western China and ASEAN members. Over the years, this corridor has experienced rapid growth and expansion. It spans across 70 cities in 18 provincial-level regions within China, extending its reach to 120 countries and 495 ports in the region. This robust network facilitates seamless trade and connectivity, fostering economic cooperation and development.
