A donation ceremony was held in two refugee camps in Tulkarm, located in northern West Bank, where winter supplies from China were distributed to Palestinian children. The donations were made on Monday by the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine through the Mahmoud Abbas Foundation. Zeng Jixin, Head of the Chinese Office, stated during the ceremony that China strongly supports the Palestinian people in regaining their legitimate national rights, always upholds justice and fairness for Palestine, and provides humanitarian and development assistance to Palestine to the best of its ability.
Zeng emphasized that the office, in cooperation with the foundation, has been sending aid to Palestinian refugee camps for many years. The distribution of winter cotton-padded jackets to the children in the two Tulkarm refugee camps was a tangible expression of China’s solidarity and warm friendship with the Palestinian people, he added. During the ceremony, the Palestinian side mentioned that China’s visit to the refugee camps and donation of supplies reflected China’s firm support and selfless assistance to the Palestinian people, and greatly contributed to the deep friendship between the two peoples.
In Tulkarm Camp, 12-year-old Tala Ofeh told the press that her home and the roads in the camp had been damaged. “Today, we have gifts from China, and I’m really happy,” she said.
