Hunan Bio-Mechanical and Electrical Polytechnic has embraced its agricultural vocational education strengths to actively participate in the “Belt and Road” Initiative. By developing an action plan and establishing the “Shengji” brand, the institution focuses on multi-dimensional cooperation with African countries, innovating international talent training models. Notably, the school has collaborated with Ethiopia’s Alage College since 2019, working on teacher exchanges, curriculum development, and localized training, thereby building a sustainable bridge between China and Africa.
In addition to assisting Ethiopia with national vocational education standards and introducing advanced agricultural practices, the school extends its expertise to East Timor, Bangladesh, and beyond. It also established international training bases and contributed to global skills competitions like the BRICS Technical Innovation Contest. Through these initiatives, Hunan Bio-Mechanical and Electrical Polytechnic showcases China’s agricultural and technical education advancements, gaining international recognition and fostering deeper cross-cultural ties.
