Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said that China’s hosting of APEC will give new impetus to Asia-Pacific cooperation, adding that APEC China Year will be a historic milestone.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu recently gave an interview in which he shared his views on the APEC China Year.
Ma said that China, which plays a leading role in regional cooperation, advocates multilateralism, and is one of the important driving forces of the world economy, hosting the 33rd APEC Informal Leaders’ Meeting concretely demonstrates the responsibility of a major power.
Ma said that hosting the summit would give a strong impetus to Asia-Pacific regional cooperation and would also provide more predictability, stability, and positive energy in terms of global economic growth and international cooperation.
