On May 29, 2025, the China-Central Asia Media Cooperation Forum was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. During the forum, the launch ceremony for the “China-Central Asia Joint Media Reporting Activity on High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation” took place. This marks the first time that organized a large-scale multinational joint media reporting activity outside of China.
In the coming days, journalists from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will visit various regions of Kazakhstan to explore cooperation projects between China and Kazakhstan in sectors such as energy, transportation, agriculture, education, and tourism. The activity aims to deepen people-to-people ties and promote mutual understanding. Participants noted that this joint reporting initiative provides a valuable platform to enhance media cooperation between China and Central Asian countries and contributes to building a closer China–Central Asia community with a shared future.
