Egyptian Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein stated at the 11th Akhbar El Youm Economic Conference that China could play a significant role in strengthening Egypt’s industrial strategy for the period 2024–2030. Abou El-Enein emphasized, “China is a key industrial partner for Egypt and can definitely play an important role in the success of Egypt’s industrial strategy,” highlighting the support provided by China across various industrial sectors in Egypt and the value that leading Chinese companies operating in the country have added to the Egyptian economy.
Abou El-Enein expressed his hope that cooperation between the two countries would expand in technical fields, especially regarding future industries and artificial intelligence, so as to contribute to the comprehensive revitalization of the Egyptian economy. He also noted that China is now localizing the automotive industry in Egypt by establishing automobile factories in the country. “China can take advantage of Egypt’s strategic location as a bridge between Africa and Europe. Moreover, the agreements signed between Egypt and various countries in the region and Europe are opening new markets for Chinese products manufactured in Egypt,” he said.
