The Chinese government, through its 14th medical team to Ghana and in cooperation with the local Chinese business community, has donated a variety of medical equipment and supplies to Lekma Hospital in the capital city, Accra. The donation includes ultrasound devices, transducers, surgical instruments, and other medical tools, aiming to improve the hospital’s diagnostic and treatment capacity.
During the handover ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Tong Defa emphasized that the donation represents a concrete example of health cooperation and friendship between the two countries. Ghana’s Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh described the donation as a strong symbol of the Ghana-China partnership and highlighted the importance of the 14 Chinese medical teams that have served in Ghana since 2009.
