In January, China experienced a significant surge in automobile exports, marking a 47.4 percent increase compared to the same month in the previous year. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, a total of 443,000 vehicles were exported during this period.
Breaking down the distribution, exports of passenger vehicles rose by 47.5 percent compared to the previous year’s January figures, reaching 369,000 units. Meanwhile, commercial vehicle exports also saw a substantial increase, rising by 46.9 percent to reach 74,000 units during the same period.
Furthermore, data revealed a notable increase in China’s exports of new energy vehicles (NEVs), which rose by 21.7 percent on an annual basis in January, totaling 101,000 units. This growth underscores the continuing momentum of China’s automobile industry, particularly in the realm of environmentally friendly vehicles.
