Chinese automaker BYD has opened a new chapter in the Central and Eastern European markets by delivering the first batch of BYD ATTO 3 new energy passenger vehicles to Hungary.
According to the company, it entered the Hungarian market in October 2023, and since then, BYD’s passenger cars have rapidly gained traction in these countries, boosting sales. The company offers integrated services ranging from vehicle purchase through local major dealerships to after-sales maintenance. With three stores located in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, BYD aims to expand its sales and service network. It is expected that the number of BYD stores will increase to six by the end of 2024.
BYD’s data indicates that its production, spread across more than 70 countries and regions on six continents, surged by approximately 334 percent in 2023, exceeding 240,000 units. This expansion into Hungary underscores BYD’s commitment to advancing its presence in global markets and promoting the adoption of new energy vehicles.
