Chinese doctors provided free health check-ups to some orphaned children in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu on Wednesday. The nine-member medical team carried out general health check-ups for 18 orphaned children living at Prayas Nepal. The check-ups included vision and visual field tests, dental and oral, growth and development examinations, scoliosis screening and menstrual health counseling.
The team also counseled the children on health and healthy living and donated medicines. “We are very grateful that you chose our organization for your support,” said Mani Joshi, Founding President of Prayas Nepal, a non-profit and non-governmental organization that aims to help children in need.
Following the checks, the Chinese Enterprise Association in Nepal donated food supplies such as rice, lentils and cooking oil, as well as toiletries and 600,000 Nepalese rupees to the orphanage.
