Chinese scientists have developed a new ultra-low temperature-resistant lithium battery that can operate even in freezing cold conditions, offering a solution to the energy problem for unmanned aerial vehicles and robots.
The new generation lithium battery technology, developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stands out for its ability to perform without energy loss even in harsh environmental conditions such as -34 degrees Celsius.
The research team, led by academic Chen Zhongwei, announced that during field tests conducted in Mohe City, Heilongjiang Province, in northeastern China, an industrial-grade drone powered by this battery successfully completed long-duration flights and multiple mission scenarios.
