Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel in Beijing on November 25, 2024.
Ding emphasized that China and Luxembourg represent a fine example of harmonious coexistence and win-win cooperation between large and small countries. Under the strategic guidance of their leaders, the two countries have maintained healthy momentum in their bilateral relations and achieved fruitful results in cooperation across various fields.
Ding stated that China is ready to continue being a good friend offering mutual support and a strong partner in seeking common development. He expressed China’s willingness to deepen cooperation in areas such as the Air Silk Road, industrial and supply chains, scientific and technological innovation, and green transformation. Furthermore, he emphasized China’s readiness to work together to oppose protectionism and share the opportunities and benefits of open cooperation.
Bettel stated that Luxembourg is committed to constantly expanding its cooperation with China and enhancing collaboration in fields such as finance, logistics, and renewable energy. He added that Luxembourg is willing to play a positive role in promoting Europe-China cooperation.
