Georgia’s Ambassador to China, Paata Kalandadze, stated that the cooperation between China and Georgia will grow even further in the future, during the 2025 National People’s Congress of China. Kalandadze emphasized economic, cultural, and technological cooperation within the framework of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, noting that Georgia’s international influence has increased during this process. He also praised China’s achievements in scientific innovation, stating that they will engage in more collaboration in this area in the future.
The Ambassador expressed support for China’s policy of high-level openness and highlighted the 144-hour visa-free transit policy as a way to strengthen people-to-people relations between the two countries. Kalandadze added that Georgia would increase its cultural promotion in China this year and organize cultural events to reinforce cooperation between the two nations. He also expressed confidence that there will be a broader scope for collaboration in the next five years.
