A new air cargo route has been launched between Urumqi, the capital of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The route was announced by SF Airlines and marks the company’s first dedicated cargo route from Xinjiang to Pakistan.
The new route will facilitate the transportation of cross-border e-commerce goods and other products. There will be two round-trip flights per week, providing over 110 tonnes of air cargo capacity weekly.
With the launch of the Urumqi-Islamabad route, SF Airlines has expanded its destinations in Pakistan to three. The company stated that this new route will enhance logistical convenience and contribute to strengthening economic and trade cooperation between China and Pakistan.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, SF Airlines is China’s largest air cargo carrier in terms of fleet size. Currently, it operates a total of 89 dedicated cargo aircraft.
