The 2024 Beijing-Nanjing International Metro Transit Exhibition and Forum is underway at the Nanjing International Expo Centre from June 13 to 15, featuring more than 500 exhibitors.

Ove the development of seven editions, the exhibition has become the largest and most influential event in China’s urban metro transit sector.

At the exhibition, the debut of Nanjing Metro Line 9 attracted many visitors who gathered around or boarded the train to explore it. The train incorporates various technologies, such as 5G-powered transmission and intelligent maintenance, ensuring safer and more comfortable rides. The screens at the metro station display the crowdedness within a carriage, allowing passengers to choose the right ones. Departing passengers will receive a voice reminder if they leave items in the carriage.

“Green” and “smart” are the key messages for the event. Among the exhibitors, Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical highlights its newly developed mass transit vehicle door, made using a new structure and technology. The door is 9% lighter than conventional ones and reduces lubrication costs by about 30%, making it both eco-friendly and economically effective.
