China and Middle Eastern countries are taking significant steps to strengthen their logistics infrastructure and deepen trade cooperation. Recently, China has been working to improve its logistics connections with the Middle East to facilitate regional trade more efficiently and swiftly. In this context, investments by China’s shipping giant COSCO Shipping in Abu Dhabi’s ports and the establishment of overseas warehouses in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone are further expanding trade networks.
The increasing logistics activities in the Middle East impact not only transportation but also regional economic relations. These projects, accelerated under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), aim to connect commercial hubs in the Middle East and ensure a smoother flow of trade. Notably, the COSCO Terminal operating at Abu Dhabi Port has become a crucial center for the distribution of Chinese goods to various regions across the Middle East.
These developments create new opportunities not only in the logistics sector but also in manufacturing and industry. Guided by the principle that “logistics boosts trade, and trade revitalizes industry,” Chinese companies are collaborating with their Middle Eastern partners to expand regional production networks. As China continues its investments in logistics and supply chain infrastructure, the Belt and Road Initiative remains at the core of this transformation. Adhering to the vision that “corridors facilitate logistics, logistics drives trade, and trade shapes industry,” China aims to accelerate regional integration.
