Located in Xi’an Xixian New Area, one of the key development regions in Western China, the Airport New City has seen rapid growth in recent years. Established in 2018 as part of the airport economic zone, the city has become one of the logistics and trade hubs in Western China. Situated along the Belt and Road route, the region attracts both national and international investors.
The Airport New City continues to grow with an economic model centered around Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. Today, the city offers direct flight connections to 43 countries and 91 cities, becoming one of the central hubs for regional transportation. Authorities aim to increase the annual passenger capacity to 1.2 billion and operate over 300 flight routes by 2025.
The region not only focuses on transportation but also draws investments in technology, finance, and logistics. With newly established free trade zones, R&D centers, and international partnerships, the Airport New City is set to play a strategic role in the economic development of Western China.
