Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China and Brazil must seize the opportunities offered by the times and continue to enhance the synergy between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil’s development strategies. These remarks were made in a signed article published on Sunday in the Brazilian media outlet *Folha de S. Paulo*.
Xi emphasized that both sides should continue to enhance the strategic impact of the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, expand its scope, and explore new areas.
The article, titled “A Friendship Spanning Vast Oceans: A Voyage Toward a Brighter Shared Future,” was released while Xi was attending the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro and making a state visit to Brazil.
