The 2024 “Belt and Road” Golden Connectivity Network International Communication Event took place on December 23 at the Chuanshan area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port in China. During the event, central and local media representatives, along with foreign internet influencers, had the opportunity to observe the infrastructure and unique operations of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, renowned as the world’s largest port. Participants witnessed the vibrant activity at the port, where colorful containers were neatly stacked, and ships and vehicles worked tirelessly in seamless operations.
Attendees were particularly impressed by the port’s “sea-rail intermodal transport” system. Nguyen Quoc Nghi from Vietnam commented, “Transporting containers to the port by train and then shipping them worldwide is an impressive and highly efficient system.” Similarly, Ziliya from Kazakhstan described the scale and pace of the port as “remarkable,” stating, “Standing here and witnessing this scene truly conveys the essence of being a ‘gateway to the world.’”
Located at the intersection of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Ningbo Zhoushan Port serves China’s Yangtze River Delta, one of the country’s most vibrant economic regions. As one of the busiest ports globally, with 305 international shipping routes and 26 sea-rail intermodal lines, it stands out as a critical hub of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
