BEIJING, December 17 (Xinhua) — Railway travel in China reached a record high between January and November 2025, underscoring the continued expansion and efficiency of the country’s rail transport system.
According to data released on Tuesday by China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the total number of passenger trips nationwide rose by 6.6 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to 4.28 billion journeys. The figures reflect sustained growth in domestic mobility and highlight the central role of railways in supporting China’s economic activity and population movement.
