The leading automobile manufacturer in China, FAW Group Limited Company, reported an increase in vehicle sales during the first two months of this year, signaling a promising start for the company in 2024. FAW Group’s automobile sales surpassed 448,000 units in the first two months of 2024, marking a significant increase of 17.7% compared to the same period last year. Among the group’s total sales, the Hongqi automobile brand, which translates to “Red Flag,” experienced a notable surge with sales reaching 65,300 units, reflecting a 37.56% increase from the previous year. Hongqi plans to further boost its sales this year by introducing more new energy vehicle models to the market. Headquartered in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province in northeastern China, the state-owned FAW Group has produced and sold over 54 million vehicles over the span of more than sixty years.
