The Chinese energy conglomerate Sinopec has erected over 6,000 charging stations specifically tailored for electric vehicles (EVs). This initiative, spanning 370 cities nationwide, underscores Sinopec’s commitment to furnishing efficient and expeditious charging solutions for EV owners.
With a formidable network of more than 30,000 refueling stations dispersed throughout China, Sinopec is strategically positioned to enhance its service portfolio for consumers. Beyond merely facilitating electric vehicle charging, the company endeavors to augment customer satisfaction by integrating additional amenities such as retail outlets, dining establishments, and automotive maintenance facilities.
In alignment with the directives set forth by the Ministry of Transport, China aims to fortify the infrastructure essential for supporting new energy vehicles. Deputy Minister of Transport Wang Gang articulated during a press briefing on Thursday that the ministry is poised to accelerate the deployment of 3,000 charging units and 5,000 charging bays within highway service areas nationwide by the year 2024.
