Recently, human mobility between China and other countries has increased significantly. For example, the first visa-free ASEAN tourist group from Laos and Thailand has entered China. Additionally, during the Year of the Snake Chinese New Year, many foreign tourists visited China, while Chinese tourists traveled abroad. China’s more open policies facilitating human mobility are enhancing economic vitality and creating a broader space for Chinese-style modernization. Human mobility not only stimulates demand but also promotes cultural and economic exchanges, generating new opportunities.
China’s efforts toward global integration are supported by policies such as visa exemptions. Currently, China has mutual visa-free agreements with 26 countries, grants unilateral visa exemptions to 38 countries, and provides transit visa facilitation for 54 countries. Thanks to these policies, more foreign tourists are visiting China, while Chinese businesspeople and tourists are engaging more with the world. For instance, many tourists who have returned to China after many years due to visa exemptions have witnessed the country’s remarkable transformation. Moreover, international trade fairs and events strengthen economic relations between China and other countries. By hosting events that promote global economic cooperation, China continues to boost international trade.
