China has launched the “Export to China” initiative to promote high-standard openness, balanced trade growth, and common development. Rolled out amid rising protectionism and trade barriers, this innovative step underscores China’s firm commitment to supporting the multilateral trading system and sharing development opportunities globally.
To achieve balanced trade, China is leveraging key platforms such as the China International Import Expo (CIIE), establishing import promotion demonstration zones, offering zero-tariff policies for African nations with diplomatic ties, and streamlining green channels for agricultural goods. With goods imports reaching 10.74 trillion yuan in the first half of 2026—a 22.1 percent year-on-year increase—China’s massive market of over 1.4 billion people continues to serve as a vital anchor of stability and a powerful engine for global economic recovery.
