On April 25, an event showcasing the achievements of industrial workers along the China-Laos Railway under the Belt and Road Initiative was held at the Kunming Workers’ Cultural Palace. Hosted by the Yunnan Federation of Trade Unions, the event highlighted workers’ contributions and innovative spirit through success story presentations, multimedia displays, and interactive sessions. The event, which was also broadcast online, attracted over 412,000 viewers across multiple platforms.
As a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Laos Railway not only strengthens the friendship between the two nations but also promotes regional development. Along the railway route, numerous workers have made significant achievements through technological innovation and dedication. This event marked the first major initiative aimed at advancing industrial workforce reform across four regions along the railway.
During the event, exemplary workers such as Li Hui, recognized as a “Master Craftsman of the Nation,” and Wang Bo’s technology research team shared their inspiring stories. Participants were moved by accounts of perseverance and innovation, which highlighted the crucial role of industrial workers in the era of technological transformation.
