Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said that the spirit of friendly cooperation between China and Africa is the key to the success of bilateral cooperation.
Spokesperson Mao made this statement during a regular press conference in response to a question about Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s ongoing visit to Africa and the recent positive assessments of China-Africa cooperation by the International Monetary Fund and many US think tanks.
Mao pointed out that over the 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Africa, the two sides have set an example for a new type of international relations in line with the principles of sharing a common destiny and achieving common development. She noted that the two sides have also played a leading role in the formation of a community with a shared future for mankind.
