China-Latin America technology cooperation has developed in quality in recent years, forming a multi-layered and diversified network, Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun stated.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Science Day, Yin emphasized that beyond traditional areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, and energy, cooperation has expanded into cutting-edge fields like 5G, digital technology, new energy, new materials, and biomedicine.
Yin also noted that centers for sustainable food innovation and technology transfer have been established between China and Latin America, creating platforms to tackle emerging challenges in science and technology. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to promoting open, fair, and non-discriminatory international scientific collaboration. During the event, experts from both sides shared their latest research and experiences in areas such as health, agricultural technology, digital development, and bio-breeding.
