The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened on Wednesday in Beijing at Shougang Park, drawing participants from 90 countries and over 1,800 companies, including 473 Fortune Global 500 firms. Running through September 13, the event is themed “Global Services, Shared Prosperity” and features a Global Trade in Services Summit co-hosted for the first time by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The fair showcases more than 100 new products and services across artificial intelligence, fintech, and digital healthcare, alongside a new overseas expansion services roadshow area. Highlighting China’s expanding service sector—which totaled nearly 4.45 trillion yuan in the first seven months of 2026—the event underscores China’s commitment under the 15th Five-Year Plan to optimize negative list management, ease cross-border restrictions, and boost knowledge-intensive services trade.
