During talks in Beijing with Roberto Velasco Alvarez, Mexico’s secretary of foreign affairs, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China and Mexico have become mutually beneficial partners and stand as an active force for upholding international peace and fairness.
Wang emphasized that China views and advances its ties with Mexico from the strategic perspective of Global South solidarity, supporting Mexico in maintaining its independence, sovereignty, and security while opposing foreign interference. He added that China-Mexico relations do not target any third party and should not be subject to external influence.
